A good selection of the mammals native to southern Africa would be seen in KNP. There would be many types of mice, moles, rats, shrews, aardvarks, bushbabies, small monkeys, hyraxes, baboons, fox, ratel, rabbits, hares, hedgehogs, bats of many kinds, cats, leopards, cheetahs, lions, civets, mongoose, hyenas, all kinds of antelopes, zebra, giraffe and elephants. I would estimate over 300 species in total .
