Some are, but that is mostly just a stereotype. Gay marines are usually associated with the liberal left, and are normally big fans of Nancy Pelosi, Al Franken, Barney Frank (go figure), and Jeanine Garafolo.
But the majority of marines are decent, God-fearing, conservative American patriots.

As part of the military's "Don't ask don't tell" policy gay people may only serve as long as they they do not reveal that they are gay.
