if its the vauxhall 2.0 dte, the answer is NEVER ...the engine has a chain, not a belt!
80,000 miles.
i think in you can change every week
4 years, 40K miles.
vauxhall recommend 100,000 miles or ten years
if it's a petrol model then it's every 40,000 miles.
60,000 MILES is about right for ANY engine with a Rubber belt.
I take it you mean 1.2 16V ? It doesnt have a cambelt , it has a cam chain , which "should" last the life of the engine, there is no recommended change schedules of the chain. If it gets noisy....change it quick !
i paid £100
no vauxhall engine are safe they all hit just to what extent the do as a vauxhall tech we find it less expensive to replace the head as they have a habit of cracking the guides aswell.hope this helps
5 years old no matter how low the mileage or before if mileage reaches 50.000 as water pump bearings are prone to seize about this mileage, It has been known for them to seize at 17.000.
