It means that your car is due for a service visit usually 60,000 or 70,000 miles and is meant to be reset at the dealer, however you could ask to have your codes read at your local parts store and if they have a code reader they may reset it for you.
This is an OBD2 system. To my knowledge the only possible way to reset the computer is to disconnect the battery. I'm not even sure this wll work. I've never heard of a reset button on these OBD2 systems. If you wanted to clear all the trouble codes then You'll need a handheld scanner tool (available at parts store). I don't recommend clearing the trouble codes until you have repaired the problem. Also once you clear the codes you'll have to drive the vehicle at least 100 miles before you have an emission test.

Before you reset (erase all stored trouble codes) have the OBDII system scanned and the trouble codes retrieved. Resetting can be done with the OBDII scan tool, or by disconnecting the NEGATIVE battery cable for a couiple of minutes. Disconnecting the cable on some vehicles causes other performance codes to also be erased and the vehicle may run rough for a few miles until the computer "re-learns" the settings.
