I'm almost at 30,000 miles, I was told I am good for another 10K. So mine will have lasted 40K on a 2009 TC.
The better they are, the longer they last. There are many cheap pads available now that will only last 35-40,000 miles. My current pads, ceramics, have been on for 50,000 and are only half worn.
Around 35 mpg.

If you change pads regularly and drive carefully they should last the life of the car, at least 150-200, 000 miles. -I have only ever had to change discs when people before me have abused the brakes.
Its not a matter of miles but how many times u use your brakes...i can drive a hndred thousand clicks without touching the brakes and the pads would be fine...

As long as your rotors are not warped, or you have not let the brake pads wear to the point they defaced the rotors, there is no need to change them. Just install new brake pads. Rotors can last the life of the car.
If it is a 2007 and you drive it a lot I'd say it's doing good.
