I was told it varies with the vehicle's Make i have Ford i was told to drive 40 miles we drove 55 so we were told to drive 40 more miles haven't done that yet. i think the o2 sensor has to accumulate enough carbon before it's considered "Ready".
look right before the converter unless your pipes has been changed
no. the upstream sensor is the one before the catalytic converter and the downstream is the one after
All oxygen sensor are in the exhaust either before or after the catalytic convertor.
Every 60,000 miles, though some can last longer before failing enough to cause you to fail smog.
How do I get my magnum remote to work after I changed the battery in it and the doors are locked
The check engine light will illuminate with a code(s) directing which O2 sensor is bad.
The oxygen sensor is located on your lower exaust pipe just before the cat underneath the car
try changing your oxygen sensor I have changed the oxygen sensor and it did not help. Do you have any other ideas? Could it be the carb?
Just before the catalytic converter on the exhaust
before cat
Need to know what code(s) were set and which O2 sensor you changed in order to help you.
Both before and after.
