Two historic cities along the scenic Klondike trail, or modern day Klondike Highway. The distance between these two cities along the Klondike highway is 434 miles. However, drawing a straight line on a map from point A to point B, in this case from Dawson to Skagway, would be about 325 miles discluding mountains, of course. Excuse me, but are you reading "The Call Of the Wild" for Mrs. Canada, a language arts teacher a Lasalle springs Middle School because I am and came across a very similar question that asked if traveling this distance would realistically take 30 days. Ideas to consider if you are answering this exact question from my teacher them consider the following. What season it was- The terrain- temperature was it difficult to travel - moutainous or icy (has to do (length of day and night) with season) What was the weather like- was pleasesant or was it tempestuous How long did they travel each day- how many miles

The distance is straight path from one place to another place. There might be slight difference between the actual distance and the above mentioned distance because of the route chosen. The distance between the above mentioned places is 100 nautical miles approximately.
