My PC speaker cables have a copper wire, as well as a insulated (white) copper wire. The headphones (Sony) appear to have 3 wires in them - green, red, and orange. The links you posted are more for car/home theater speaker wire.

This isn't going to work because the copper wire is gonna either melt or short the battery out by connecting the terminals together. This is basically how arc welding is done.

Typical harness wire is around 45-50% copper content. This is standard regardless of the type of car it comes off of. This also assumes that the harness has the computer taken off it. Otherwise the total copper in relation to the weight of the total is much lower.
