I have a 2003 Cooper S and I get 333 miles on average on 10 gal so that is about 33.3. It can drop a bit though if I drive it more spirited :)
It definitely depends on the type of fuel you use. I started using ethanol-free gas, and it raised the mpg by about 5 miles. Also, make sure your tyres are to proper pressure, especially if they're runflats.
