I really do not suggest counting. There have been 224 stories and 784 individual episodes aired. There is a different monster or alien in most of these stories - though there are exceptions such as Daleks and Cybermen which star in many. Regardless, there must be over 100 - probably over 150 - so DON'T COUNT... You will regret it...
