It depends. If it was just a punch with just bruising then maybe a month or so, around a month. If it was a punch with leading with a broken nose or anything with broken bones in the face, cuts, bleeding or a concussion, anything serious like that, maybe 5-7 months around that time.

It depends where you live... In South Africa you just stay in a cell for the weekend (personal experience, but if you inflict a lot of pain and your life was not in danger you could serve up to 3 years! Just do not fight if your life is not in danger!
