On a 1997 Mercury Villager, the motor mounts are located on either side of the engine, securing it to the vehicle's frame. There are typically two main engine mounts: one on the driver's side and one on the passenger's side. Additionally, there may be a rear mount at the back of the engine, depending on the specific configuration. These mounts help reduce engine vibration and maintain proper engine alignment.
