Over 1,500 musicians play at the Toronto Jazz Festival each year spread out over 40 venues and play in over 300 performances in the Greater Toronto Area. Last year over 450,000 people attended the event.

For the pleasure of it. The pioneers of jazz took African and Christian music which evolved into blues, which evolved into jazz. Musicians playing together inspired each other to to take these new sounds further and further.

One interesting cultural event that goes on in Venezuela is the El Hatillo Music Festival. El Hatillo is a city south of Caracas, which is where the music festival takes place. At this festival, live jazz, folk, and rock music is performed. Many people enjoy coming to this festival and watching popular musicians in Venezuela perform. It takes place around the last two weeks of October each year.
The best known film festival is the one in Cannes, France. There is also a Sundance Film Festival in Idaho, a Berlin Film Festival in Germany, and a Toronto Film Festival in Canada, among others
