In Christianity, to worship means to be in God's presence and acknowledge His sovereignty. Whether Christians are gathered together or alone, they believe worshipping God is of utmost importance. Scriptures are texts contained in the Bible that speak of God's truths. When gathered together or alone, Christians use these scriptures when speaking, teaching or singing, to reaffirm and encourage one another in God's ways.
Jesus said to His disciples: I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14: 6 (New King James Version) From Genesis to Revelation the Holy Scriptures is our map as we travel the journey of wholeness and rest. The Holy Scriptures is our food, to maintain Spiritual strength as we travel our journey. The Holy Scriptures contains the principles of Love--the Life that we are searching for, and this Life is of God, by faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus has told us Come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11: 28 (New King James Version) What I am trying to show you is that the whole Bible represents the Blue Print or the Great Pathway of getting to God, for the whole Bible teaches us the Ways of God, who is Love, in the Person of Jesus Christ.
God used many people to write the bible. One of them is Moses, he wrote the book of genesis. They writers of the bible are either instructed by God or inspired by the Holy spirit( the holy spirit tells them)
The name of God (Yah-weh - " i am who I am") is unmentionable for the Jews as it is considered too holy even to utter. Therefore, in the Hebrew scriptures the Jews adopted other names for God depending upon the situation. One name, 'eloah', means 'Mighty One'. The word 'eloah' is the singular form of 'elohim' and appears over 70 times in the Hebrew scriptures, mostly in poetic passages. References include Deut. 32:15, Chronicles 32:15 and Job 3:4, and many of the psalms. Another word for God used by the Jews in the Hebrew scriptures is Adonai. Nowadays in the English translations of the Bible, the words used for God are all translated as Lord (where the 'L' is capitalised, and the 'ORD' are in small capitals, to differentiate it from the normal 'Lord' as used in other contexts.
The book you are looking for is...GENESIS, the first book in the scriptures.
There are no benefits because there is only one God - So says the Holy Scriptures like Torah, Bible, Quran and the Hindu Scripture the Vedas.
All the Prophets mentioned in the Scriptures - Torah, Bible, Quran and those of the Baha'i Faith teach the worship of only one God.
Not a one, apparently God lacks a sense of humor. Actually, lack of jokes in the bible is not evidence of God's lack of sense of humor but the lack of sense of humor of the writers of the bible or the people who compiled the contents. Perhaps any scriptures containing humor were rejected by them.
In many Scriptures with this one being perhaps the most quoted:Deuteronomy 6:4New International Version (NIV) 4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one
One of my favorites, which shows the heart of God, is found in Isaiah 58 (get a bible or look it up on line and read what the Scriptures tell us).
Holy Word, The Word of God, Bible, Holy Scripture..... It is also often referred to as The Greek Scriptures because the vast majority of it is written in Koine Greek. That's the New Testament, the one written in Greek. But The Old Testament is written in Hebrew and some very few texts are in Aramaic. Romans 1:2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)
There are no scriptures directly relating to lighthouses. There are many scriptures relating to God's people being a light to the world, and over time, some versions of the Bible have altered the wording to be "Lighthouse" rather than "a light". An example is found in Isaiah 42:6, which states: "I have set you among my people to bind them to Me, and provided you as a light to the nations." In a very recent version of the Bible, the wording has been changed to "lighthouse", but if one returns to the original texts, the word lighthouse is not used.
One, I think, in Revelations.
There are many gods mentioned in the bible as god is a title. There is only one Jehovah as he is the true god
