In 24 hours it's output is about 1.0 to 1.8 liters
My grandmother is 89, complaint of left flank pain, dark urine, drank about 72 ounces of fluids in 24 hours, had approximately 300-400 cc of tea colored urine output. I am a nurse and I thought that she should have at least 300-400 cc of output every 4hours. what is normal for adults who drink adequate amout of liquid in 24 hours.
1250 milliliters per 24 hours
1mL per kg per hour.
The minimum adult urine output to clear the body of waste products is 720 milliliters in 24 hours. Depending on the hydration status of the adult, urine output of up to 2000 milliliters in 24 hours is normal.
For a male OR female, drinking about 2 liters of fluid a day, the normal urine output should be 800 to 2,000 milliliters a day. Urine output below 500 milliliters a day is considered a low urine output and is a sign of disease.
You should be aiming for a urine output above 1 ml/kg/hr
Probably over 50
Normal urine output is 1.5 liters per day or 50-60ml/hour. So its a normal amount for a female of 118 lbs.
You should be aiming for a urine output above 1 ml/kg/hr
Usually when there is less than normal urine output it is associated with dehydration so the way it is described in a chart is "diminished urine output noted".
