Depending upon the software, which defines the maximum number of characters that can be input, and the character set, which can be alphanumeric, or made up of foreign characters and/or symbols. The number of passwords would be much smaller if you are limited to the 512 character set and a set length, such as 14 characters. Some software allows up to 255 characters per entry, so you could calculate a realistic length using these figures.
