Depends entirely on the gauge and size of shell. Can vary from 9-30
12
Not very many- between 3 and 5 pellets, depending on whether the shell is a 2.5 inch or a 3 inch. Many are 000 buck (known as triple ought) although some are in #4 buckshot. There is even one that is called 0000 buck, nearly .40 caliber.
Tri-Ball 12 gauge buckshot ammunition loaded by Dixie Slugs Company has .60 caliber hard cast lead pellets that weigh three fourths of an ounce each. Each shell fires 3 pellets for a total payload of 2 1/4 ounces at 1100 feet per second.
Buckshot is the large round lead shot fired from a shotgun for hunting large animals, suck as deer (as in Bucks and Does- shot for bucks) The lead balls come in different sizes, denoted by a number. The smaller the number, the larger the shot. The largest standard buckshot is 000, triple ought, at about .35 caliber. 00 (double ought) is the most common, at about .32 caliber. There is 0,1,2,3, and #4 buckshot- about .25 caliber. Different shotguns will pattern some shot better than others. Larger, heavier shot has more range, and greater penetration.
Depends on the size of the buckshot, and the velocity as it leaves the gun. Larger buckshoot (00 or 000) will travel further than small (#4 Buckshot). A MAXIMUM range (not an maxiumum effective range) is around 880-900 yards.
It refers to the size of the shot pellets in the shell. Likely #4 birdshot, which is about 0.13 inches in diameter.
Baby rabbits will start to nibble on grasses and pellets at about 2 weeks of age, they really won't get much good out of it and may waste more pellets than they actually eat, but by 4 weeks they will be eating really well. Between 4 and 6 weeks they will begin to wean from mothers milk and go to eating pellets and grasses very successfully.
Four.
4 has an infinite number of multiples, all of them divisible by 4.
16 gauge, 2 and 3/4 inch, any shot from fine birdshot to buckshot.
If the barrel is marked for 3 inch magnums, yes. Marked 2 3/4, no.
4 is one of infinitely many points on a number line. There is not a special number line for 4!
The size of a pellet is denoted by a number; for bird shot, this goes from the smallest, 12 (1.2 mm, 0.05 in), to the second-largest, 2, and then BB (4.6 mm, 0.18 in). In the case of buckshot, the digits 4, 3, 2, 1, 00 ("single-aught"), 00 ("double-aught"), 000 ("triple-aught"), and 0000 serve as the beginning and ending points ("quadruple-aught").
