I've always asked myself the same question. I think Jesus spoke to each person individually in their hearts... each person was free to accept or reject his message (with their hardened hearts.) Jesus certainly didn't have to shout or yell to be heard. In my opinion, he might have used some sort of telepathy.
He healed diseases so people wanted to see how He did it and wanted their disease healed. If someone today was healing diseases you would hear about it all over. back in bible times people told people and traveled and told other people.
Because they saw that he loved them and had compassion on them and taught them, as the scripture says:
Matthew 14.14. And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.
Mark 6.34. And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.
The Gospels talk of thousands of people that came to hear Jesus speak, to be forgiven and to be healed.
We really have no idea. We do not know how many shepherds came to see Jesus and we are not sure of how many wise men came to see Jesus. There were three gifts, but that does not tell us how many wise men there were.

Yes, you can listen to it. Many people spoke unkind and evil words to Jesus, he listened, but he did not act in an evil or unkind manner. A Christian can hear or listen to anything, it is how they choose to act afterward that will define them.
There are many places on the internet where one could listen to Jesus Messiah by Chris Tomlin. One of the best places to listen to this song would be on the website Youtube.
