The number of people who can legally live in a three bedroom house depends on the location size of the bedrooms and other factors. Generally most local state and federal housing regulations allow up to two people per bedroom. This means a three bedroom house can hold up to six people. However some regulations may limit occupancy to two or three people per bedroom so the total number of people who can legally live in a three bedroom house may be less than six.

All says 2 peoples max in 1 bedroom. However I have yet to see or read a law that stats 2 people max per bedroom.
It depends on the amount of living space in the apartment, but I'm quite sure two people can live in a one bedroom apartment, considering you share the same bedroom.
(in the US) There is no nationwide law regulating this, it will vary by local zoning and/or health codes. Contact your local authoriities.
Has it been inspected by the city/county agency? Does it have a bathroom, kitchen, and heat/air? You can't legally rent to people without these items.
There are seldom lows regarding this. It may be limited by a rental agreement. Some cities and towns have statutes about occupancy limits.
The site I like to use for do it yourself projects like that is www.hgtv.com. They have a forum on there and a lot of people post pretty interesting ideas on there. You can also look in magazines.

It depends how big the bedroom is.
Six people can live in a 2 bedroom apartment. There can be 2 adults and 4 kids. In a one bedroom apartment, there can be three people.
