Most of the deaths were firefighters. The operators, technicians, and managers also died. As far as any documents I have read say nobody outside the facility itself died, they were evacuated. Also the other reactors at the site were kept operating and nobody from their crews died. Only reactor #4 was involved.
A2. I believe the total of the firefighters and operating staff who died was 52, they all died within a few weeks. Many of those further away who were evacuated will have received higher than normal radiation doses, but it's not possible to separate out those who died in subsequent years as a result, from the natural incidence of cancers etc. Naturally opponents of nuclear power have tried to establish a causal link but it is not at all clear, and ultimately the evidence is in statistics. You can get references to background papers from website www.world-nuclear.org.
It isn't known exactly, but roughly about hundreds to thousands are experiencing it.
Not sure if this is right, but it is "roughly" about.
Depending on who where near the radiation poisoning?
None
about 65,000
The Chernobyl accident in 1986 resulted in the direct deaths of 31 people, mainly due to acute radiation exposure. However, the long-term impact of the accident, including increased rates of cancer and other health issues, has led to varying estimates of the total number of deaths attributable to the disaster.
100,000 people died instantly when the atom bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. 70,000 more died later from radiation sickness, burns and cancer.
In all 90,000-166,000 people in Hiroshima and 60,000-80,000 in Nagasaki
the effects of the atomic bombings killed 90,000-166,000 people in Hiroshima and 39,000-80,000 in Nagasaki.
many people died from the atomic bomb but the radiation still lingers there and can be very bad for people (i got this info out of a book
The victims of radiation poisoning died day or weeks after the blasts.
No one died in the actual TMI 2 incident. What is uncertain is where any escaped radiation went and if anyone died as a result of that.
There were around 90,000-166,000 people in Hiroshima and 60,000-80,000 in Nagasaki. Half of them died from radiation sickness.
Upon impact, 70,000 people were killed instantly and another 70,000 injured. At that time, Hiroshima had a population of around 255,000. It's believed that there were around 140,000 deaths in total. Some died during the actual bombing and some died later from radiation poisoning, cancer, or leukemia.
