Every state has at least one representative; the greater the population, the more representatives a state has. This is the purpose of the decennial (every 10 years) census; to reapportion the House of Representatives due to the changes in population.
One Representative represents about 650,000 people.
Should have at least one representative for each state
The population of the state is based on how many people are sent as a representative. Hope this helps a little.
It is based upon the percentage of population it has relative to the entire United States. This is roughly about 1 representative for each 360,000 people. So a state with 400,000 people would get one representative, a state with 3 1/2 million would get about 10, and so on. Each ten years that the census shows how many people are in each state, a state can gain or lose representatives.
These people are elected by the voters in their districts.
however many representative their are
The elected leaders in a representative government speak for the
people of that state
how many state is in the united state
The state is divided into districts and people run in that district for the office.
