You can't go on the metro, you have to go on the RER (google it). From the centre of Paris it takes about 35 minutes.

Yes you can. Both centres are owned by the same company. Go to the customer service desk and ask them to transfer the funds from your eldon square card onto a metro centre one.

It is a very large shopping centre, with many shops. It is at the edge of the city, so people don't have to go into the city centre. There is good parking available. There are other things to do there, lots of activies as well as shopping. They attract lots of people too.
There are so many places to go to find metro news. One could always try their favorite local news station. Other metro news can be obtained in the weekly newspaper.
