A:We may assume a belief in heaven implies a belief in eternal life, at least for most people. A 2007 poll of Western countries found that the highest proportion of people who believe in heaven are in South Africa (907 per 1000), United States (875 per thousand) and Ireland (856 per thousand), while only 184 per thousand in Denmark hold the same beliefs. Most polls ask general questions and therefore receive geeral answers, and the above responses would include many respondents who somewhat believe in heaven, as well as those who are sure that heaven exists.
