Nevertheless in modern Greek language ancient phrases or words are used to emphasize a meaning or to demonstrate more sophisticated meanings (sometimes for show off) ancient Greek in many forms are found in modern Greek as well. Church masses are performed in a language in between ancient Greek and modern.
