The Rainbow Bridge in Tokyo Bay, Japan, was completed in 1993. It is a suspension bridge that connects the Shibaura Pier with the Odaiba waterfront development in Tokyo.
The Rainbow Bridge was constructed to provide a crossing for vehicles and pedestrians over Tokyo Bay in Japan. It serves as an important transportation route connecting the city of Tokyo with the artificial island of Odaiba.
The towers supporting the Rainbow Bridge are white in color, designed to harmonize with the skyline of central Tokyo seen from Odaiba. There are lamps placed on the wires supporting the bridge, which are illuminated into three different colors, red, white and green every night using solar energy obtained during the day.
