Fukushima is the name of a prefecture on Honshu Island, the largest island of Japan. It is also the name of a city in the prefecture. Fukushima became well known to many people because of a nuclear accident at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, which is in Fukushima Prefecture.

Well, 2000 people had died during the explosion, and before the explosion the population was 50 000 so 48 000, but what nobody relizes is that there ws a blizzard the night of the Halifax explosion so we don't know how many died during the night or after from the side effects
That accident killed 30 people directly as well as millions in looses.
The government were not successful because the government said to the civilians that the Fukushima Power plant was safe when it wasnt, there were radioactive waves going out and killing many people.
