Figure a 4oz scoop per person is typical serving size. So you'd need 4 cans as you would be just shy with 3. That's if you're controlling portions. If you're not, sky's the limit.
That really depends on the size of the portion, if each person gets a 4oz (small) portion you will feed 16 people, if they get an 8oz (large) portion then it will feed 8 people for one meal.

There are 150 ears of sweet corn in a bushel.
Corn syrup tastes similar to honey, and in many cases is used as substitute. Powdered corn syrup is a corn syrup that comes in powder and is sweet.
This question does not have a definitive answer, because it depends on the size of the ears of corn. The best judgment would average between 40-60 ears of corn. The most common farmer's measurement used for the sale of bushels of sweet corn would be four dozen (48 ears of corn) per bushel. An ear of corn comes in various sizes, depending on several factors -- the hybrid variety (such as Golden Queen, Candy Corn, Silver Queen, Bodacious, etc.), the weather during the growing season (a drier season may produce a smaller ear, but be just as sweet and filled-out as corn produced during a wetter season). So a bushel of smaller corn may not appear as full as a bushel of a larger-earred corn). Regarding the sale of feed corn (corn used to feed animals), we use the standard farmer's measurement of four dozen. But when we sell sweet corn (corn used for cooking to feed humans) to our own customers, we count out a "bushel" as 54 ears -- 4 1/2 dozen.
Actually no.. quite on the contrary if any. If the farmer grows both cow corn and sweet corn, the way we did it was the sweet corn on the outside 3 or 4 or however many rows, and the cow corn on the inside. It made it easier to pick, and you didn't ruin any cow corn when you tried to harvest it, because the outside was sweet corn which had already been picked.Additional Info. While it is very occasionally done, as both the answer above and one of the discussion points mention, it is only done in either way (outside or inside the field) on a very small portion of the field -- for the farm family's convenience. If you want high quality sweet corn, it must be planted in a location isolated from field (cow) corn, or any other type of corn, because the other corn's pollen will make the sweet corn kernels go "starchy". The best sweet corn (and what you buy in the can or frozen) is grown in a field all by itself for this reason.
I would say 30 1/3 more than the number of people you want to feed
How many cans of corn to buy to feed 40 people depends partly on the size of the can and partly on how much other food you will be serving. If you allow a half an average-size can of corn per person then to feed 40 people you will need 20 cans of corn, 10 creamed and 10 whole kernel.
Sweet Corn is an annual and must be replanted every year
I believe to feed 200 they will always go back for more especially with my family. but to satisfy 200 people i believe it is about 10-15 pounds of kernel corn it would go with the 15 though that would be my guess.:)
It would be about 1 half.
