A snap-dragon is a flower with only two petals that form an enclosure. The top petal is sort of horned and resembles the cranium of some types of dragons (if you have an imagination). The lower petal resembles a broad and thick lower jaw. Bees are required to pry apart the two petals to get inside to the stamens and nectar. Once inside the petals enclose them but not seriously, the bee can always pry her way back out.
