About 5 years ago near where I live, 2 pit bulls attacked a miniature pony, pulled it down, and killed it. Last year a friend of mine was attacked by a pit bull . . . she is a longtime veterinary tech and SPCA worker. Her dogs drive the pit bull off. Two years ago in one of our city parks, a pit bull ran the full length of a city park and attacked a couples' little sharpei dog. The husband picked up the sharpei and held him on his shoulder, but the pit jumped up and grabbed the dog out of his hands and tried to kill it.
