It depends on much "over the posted speed limit" you were convicted of.

The higher the speed that you are charged and convicted of, the more points you will accumulate on your record.

In some places, double the " posted limit " is automatic jail time and a huge fine and the car may be impounded for a year, so you can't drive it.

Actually it depends on the state you are convicted in. the number of points and what it means is decided state by state as is how long the points can stay on a record and what is serious or is not and can result in suspension or revocation.

NONE. Warnings are lucky breaks they are usually not reported. Points are to monitor violations and to report to insurance agencies on the behavior of a driver. Warnings are not normally reported to the BMV only convictions are reported

I aggree with that.

You get 3 points for speeding without a warning though. They go off in 3 years.
