∙ 9y agoI have never tasted really good frozen green beans and certainly wouldn't inflict them on a large group of people I was cooking for. It's easy to steam 20 pounds of fresh beans and they will love them

∙ 8y agoThat depends on whether the peas are the main course or a side, and how the meal is being served. Are you placing portions on people's plates ahead of time, or are they choosing items and amounts for themselves?
If they are choosing, it will also be affected by how much your group likes canned peas.
If the peas are a major portion of the meal, then I would say no fewer than 40 cans, so each person could have half a can.
If it is a small portion, or if people get to choose for themselves what they are eating, then I think it would be safe to get 20 cans, which is one for every 4 people, taking into account that some people won't want any. I wouldn't really go any lower than that, or you might run out if you have some people who really, really like them. :)
