Red blood cells, or erythrocytes, are the most common blood cells. They deliver oxygen to the body tissues through the blood flow and circulatory system. These cells' cytoplasm contain alot of hemoglobin, an iron-containing biomolecule that binds oxygen, and is what makes the blood's red color. The cell membrane is made of PROTEINS and lipids, which provides properties essential for physiological cell function (like deformability and stability) while traversing the circulatory system.

A cell that cannot make trna?

Yes, all cells do and need to make their own proteins. All cells contain ribosomes for the absolute necessity for proteins to be present in and around the cell. However, there is an exception. Red blood cells, although they contain some ribosomes, lack a nucleus, which means that they are unable to translate any mRNA and form proteins. All the proteins that red blood cells need are formed during the making of the red blood cell.

Creatinine is normally found in urine. Blood proteins, red blood cells, and hemoglobin are all abnormal findings. White blood cells would indicate an infection.

What part of the blood contains the plasma proteins?

Plasma is one of the major parts of the blood. It is the liquid that is left after the other major parts, like red blood cells and white blood cells, are removed. It contains many different essential proteins, as well as salts and sugars.

Do the formed elements of blood include defense proteins?

Formed elements of blood do not include the defense proteins known as antigens. The formed elements of blood are red blood cells (erythrocytes), white blood cells (leukocytes), and platelets (thrombocytes).

What is the difference between blood and erythrocytes?

Blood is the serum, cells, platelets, and proteins, hormones, and chemicals that circulate in the blood stream. The cells that comprise blood include white blood cells and red blood cells. Red blood cells are also called erythrocytes, from the Greek erythros for "red" and cyte for "cell".Put another way, blood is the whole; erythrocytes are a part.
