The number of protons for any element is the atomic number.

The number of electrons is equal to the number of electrons.

To find the number of nuetrons you must subtract the atomic number from the mass number

mass number-atomic number= number of nuetrons

protons=electron

the number of protons in the element aluminum is 13.
