I have a 1989 Southwind made by Fleetwood with a 454 Chevy engine and according to all my information I have in the books is that it takes 6 quarts without filter and 7 quarts with a filter. Sometimes someone may have put in the wrong dip stick and it won't read correctly. But that is what the owners manual says in mine. Mikey
divide 454 by 61 and you get 7.4 liter
Park on a level surface. Drain the oil and change the filter. Add 5 quarts, start the engine and run for 30 seconds. Shut down and wait 30 minutes. Check the level and add as necessary to reach the full mark. You now know the capacity. Do not overfill.
