The 2008 Ford E-250 owners manual shows ( 6 quarts ) with filter change
It takes 6 quarts. :) I have an 01 e250, the dipstick doesnt read correctly but I called Ford, they said 6 quarts.

On a 2003 Ford E-250 ( according to the Owner Guide ) With engine oil filter change : ALL sizes of GASOLINE engines take ( 6.0 U.S. quarts of 5W-20 ) * 4.2 liter V6 / 4.6 and 5.4 liter V8's / 6.8 liter V10

For a V8 I would guess 4 quarts,usually the standard amount.
6 quarts ( 5.7 liters ) WITH FILTER CHANGE
Depends on the year of the van but they usually hold 7 quarts
