There are many legal structures in place that protect the rights of South African citizens. Stories of the revolution in America lead to more and more ideas of a revolution in France to free themselves of the monarchy and form a new government.This led ordinary citizens hungry, poor, and gave them few rights and next to no power in government even thought they made up 93% of the entire population of France.
