I just took my bag out and counted them, there is 31 potatoes in the bag of Russet potatoes I purchased from Pick n Save.
The answer will vary with the size of the potato. 4 to 5 medium potatoes would equal about 1 pound. One medium potato is equal to about 1/2 cup, so one pound of potatoes would be equal to about 2 cups of mashe potatoes.
