All God holy books are sacred texts for Muslims. They include the Pslams (revealed to Abraham), Torah (revealed to Moses), the Bible (revealed to Jesus), and Quran (revealed to Muhammad); peace be upon all God prophets. However, Muslims are committed to following the instructions and teachings of Quran. Quran was revealed to prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) by Allah (or God in English and same God in Judaism and Christianity) through the angel Gabriel (or Jibril) in year 610 AD through year 632 AD. During these 22 years of Quran revelation, all revealed verses had been written by specific Muslim team members immediately upon its revelation. Quran was then compiled during life of prophet Muhammad, and during the Caliphs AbouBakr and Omar. Quran was then compiled in its current form by the Caliph Othman. (God be pleased with them all).

All Quran verses were written immediately upon its revelation (in its revelation language that is Arabic), memorized by heart by many Muslims, and recited daily by Muslims in their prayers without single letter change or alterations. It is recited by Muslims all over the day for study and for gaining God satisfaction and His rewards. The long period for full revelation of the Quran (around 22 years) allowed the Quran to be fully memorized and documented by many Muslims. It was recited in the mosque by prophet Mohamed during the daily five prayers without single letter change. Millions of Muslims since then until now are memorizing Quran fully; and some partially; without single letter difference. This explains why Quran remains by God will, and will remain by God will, without single letter change. Refer to related questions below.

Qur'an is the only holy book of Muslims and Islam although Muslims believe in the divinity of all other God holy books (including the Torah and The Bible) as well as all other God prophets (since Adam through Noah, Abraham, Moses,..., and ending with Muhammad; peace be upon them all). Refer to questions below to know about Quran; about the Islam morals as extracted from Quran; and about the fundamentals of Islam.

The holy book of Islam is called the Qur'an. Muslims are committed to all teachings of Quran. Quran reflects real and true words of Allah (or God and same God in Christianity and Judaism) that had been revealed to prophet Muhammad (peace be upon). Per teachings of Quran and prophet Muhammad, Muslims believe in all God holy books as God revelations to His prophets (including Torah and the Bible) but not committed in their teachings. Muslims are committed; in addition to commitments to Quran teachings; to prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) teachings through his sayings and practices (that is called Sunnah).

The Qura'n and the Hadith are the pre-eminent sacred texts. Muslims still, however believe in the holy books of the Jews and Christians; i.e, people of the book.
