Hypothetically yes, they can drown. However at most beaches shark nets are closely monitored by local officials who do their best to save any creature caught in the nets. Shark nets are a mere precaution meaning they won't necessarily stop a shark from entering a beach but research shows that they are effective.
well sharks can die from anoxia, where they stop swimming and can't get oxygen to their brains. I'm not sure but it's been recorded that sharks do NOT get cancer.
It is a myth that sharks don't get cancer. They DO get it, even cancer in the cartilage sometimes
i know that for evry 1 human killed th ere ar approx.100000 sharks killed so a portinon of 100000 are killed in nets (others are used for shark fin soup)
the advantages are you stay safe at a beach you dont have to worry about where you swim and the disadvantages are sharks die from the nets and many other sea creatures die from the nets
In my opinion...it is mostly due to unfounded/irrational fear and ignorance. There are a great number that are killed "accidentally" by fishing nets and shark nets that are supposed to keep sharks away, but often do the opposite. Some are killed for meat (i.e. "shark steaks). There is also the deplorable act of "finning" for the lucrative, unsustainable, and environmentally destructive business of shark fin soup. The main threat to the Frilled Shark's survival is that they become to weak and get trapped in what is like an underwater whirlpool and are brought to the shallower water where there is little oxygen and where they get scared easily.
This is a person from the web trying to figure out what the Nurse sharks adaptations are. Trust me. Go to a different site to find the answer to this question. Good Luck!
sharks are threatened for many reasons. Overfishing, drift nets, loss of prey, and almost 10 more reasons. Anything else? im a big shark fan, and i can help u with anything you need to know. Contact me at sharkruler5000@gmail.com
Shark nets 53,098 marine animals are killed

Turtles, whales, sea lions, and mostly all other animals can be caught in shark nets. So basically ALOT
There are things called shark nets. They are put up in places that have many sharks. They are not good because they can injure a shark if they swim into it. I hope this helps and please recommend me!

Sharks are primarily threatened because shark fin is a delicacy in Asia. In fact, it is even illegal in many cases for them to hunt sharks, but they do it anyway. Sharks are also caught accidentally in fishing nets (along with many other threatened species, which is why I recommend line caught fish), and they sometimes get entangled in nets meant to keep recreational waters by the beach free of sharks.

Too many fishers are leaving nets in the ocean and sharks get caught in them and to survive sharks must keep swimming to force the seawater through their gills to separate water from oxygen. Also cutting off shark fins to make shark fin soup kills them.
yes if you join a consirvation about stopping shark nets because that is killing skarks and other sea animals
well sharks only get washed onto shore if they are dead or are trying to get prey.preventing sharks from a beach nets,i dunno attacks are rare
Being scared of Sharks is quite common - and quite pointless. Many beaches and resorts have strung out shark nets to keep the visitors feeling safe. Unfortunately a considerable number of harmless marine animals like dolphins and turtles end up dieing in the nets despite the very, very, very low risk of a shark attack anyway.
The dolphin's worst enemy is the shark, but humans are slowly turning into the shark's worst enemy. Thousands of dolphins die every day in fishing nets.
