Tallaght is a large urban area to the south of Dublin city. It has many housing estates. It also has a central village. Some of the areas of Tallaght are nice and some are not so nice. The village area has grown in modern times with new buildings, the Square, hotels, Tallaght hospital, Tallaght stadium, the Institute of Technology and the Luas all making a major contribution to the development of the area. As a result of these changes the area has much improved facilities compared to what were then when it first began to be developed as a housing area.
