There were 55 singles and I believe 33 of them went to #1.
Sir Cliff Richard Has Sold more singles in The U.K. Just check out the World Book of Facts.
Those aren't Beatles song, takes, or albums.
Doors, stones, cream, iron butterfly, Jeff. airplane I believe were all pre beatles as well as Elvis. Actually, not a single one of those was pre-Beatles except Elvis, who wasn't really a group. All those groups above came after the Beatles, well after. The biggest rock groups before the Beatles were Bill Haley and His Comets, Gene Vincent and the Blu-Kaps, Buddy Holly and the Crickets, and the Beach Boys. Please, get it right!
Yes, I have noticed those commercials have the Beatles on them. It was Dear Prudence.
Some bands like to release their singles on their websites for their fans to get a preview of. New singles can also be found on YouTube a lot of the time from those who got the new single.
Elvis was about ten years ahead of the beatles. Interesting side note. In those days getting to appear on the Ed Sullivan show was a guarantee to launch a career. There was a country singer trying to get national attention that appeared on the Sullivan show the same night Elvis Presley did. Of course Elvis so overshadowed the guy that everyone forgot about him. He kept trying and finally landed a gig on the Sullivan show again. But, as luck would have it, that was the night the Beatles first performed in America. So, once again the guy was out performed and forgotten. I used to know his name but can't remember it anymore.
On the Hot 100 chart, it is Mariah Carey, with 18. Diana Ross has 18 #1 singles to her credit, but 12 of those are credited to The Supremes.
I don't believe there is a song on the album that fits those specifications.
The Beatles had every intention of including those tracks on Sgt. Pepper's. Along with "When I'm 64," they were the first three tracks recorded. However, since the album took so long to complete, EMI/Parlophone Records wanted a new single released to meet public demand. The decision was made to release both tracks as a double A-side single. The Beatles and George Martin had a personal policy of not wanting to release albums that contained pre-released singles. They considered it a rip-off to expect record buyers to buy songs they already purchased as singles, especially in the UK where teens did not have the same buying power as American teens.
None as far as I can tell. They have only had 3 albums, 9 singles, and 8 of those were in the top 10 (UK) but Flo Rida was number one and beat them out last 2 years in a row. Now they are going to do a single with him rapping and combine talents.
The name of the Beatles' song containing those lyrics is "In My Life" - the song was written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, and included on the 1965 album Rubber Soul.
