you dont need skulls you just need to do this:
on the level where you get he scorpion for the first time kill all the marines you see then take one of the vehicles down to the bottom of the bridge [you should take the scorpion for the next part] destroy the banshees BUT LEAVE 1 LEFT! then keep shooting the turret near the banshee while driving into the tunnel then kill the rest of the marines while still shooting at the scarab then find a way to get into the banshee without making it delete by going through the checkpoint while in it, to do that i think you should keep distracting the banshee, then when you get to the red area, RIGHT when you activate the checkpoint then board it or else it will disappear along with the elite in it, then dont let the banshee get destroyed, then i think when you get to the scarab part you can fly up into a spot with the scarab gun [you might want to view a vid for this] and a really hard thing you can do ithout the banshee is use a box by nade jumping or something like that

You can actually check by going to the Campaign Menu (Solo or Co-op doesn't matter) and pressing the "X" Button. It will Ssow the Skulls that you have collected and have not.

You can have the scarab follow you, but you cannot drive the scarab without the assistance of a dev mod. All you need to drive the scarab with the dev mod is a checkpoint, so if your friend has a dev mod you can simply save a checkpoint and you can continue to drive th scarab without the devmod. However, there is no programmed driving seat, so you will not be able to see the scarab's body (although you can see the scarabs feet if you try climbing on a structure). To have the scarab follow you, defeat all enemies and allies (best preformed on the level Ark where the scarab returns after you defeat the Wraiths and choppers. simply go to the front of the scarab and face left, and the scarab will go left, trying to "follow you" to attack you.

you need a gravelift from when you face the scarab, there are like three of them in that building, right next to where you fight the scarab...you need to place it perfectly, so youll have to revert to last save a couple of times.
