Well, that's a tough one because it is not really sure how many were killed. At first, about 2000 was assumed but recent picture analysis had confirmed far more, ranging from roughly, 4000 to 6000, on the beachead. Not couting possible naval kills as well as aircraft kills. If you want to add in German casualties then I'm unsure, the Germans had many bodies removed during battle and kept replacements circulating so that's uncertain. But if I had to give an expert opinion, 6500 would be a fair sum. So sad to speak of human life in such a manner.
