Currently NASA have three space shuttles Discovery, Atlantis and Endeavour.
There were six NASA Space Shuttles.
5 NASA Shuttles have been into space. Of those 5 shuttles, 2 were unfortunately destroyed. There has been a total of 135 Space missions using the space shuttle between the years 1980 and 2011 :)
They are in the order in which they flew: Colombia Challenger Discovery Atlantis Endeavour So your answer would be 5.
3 space shuttles have crashed so far

NASA's program produced 134?æspace shuttles. Out of all of the shuttles only two crashed. NASA had a 98.7% success rate.?æ
As long as it is repaired properly, a space shuttle can make trips to and from space forever. They were built for just that purpose. However, they will not do this because NASA is retiring the space shuttles this year (2010).
3 space shuttles have crashed so far
NASA has used space shuttles to perform many important tasks. These include taking satellites into orbit, repairing damaged satellites, and carrying astronauts and equipment to and from space stations.
No new space shuttles are being built at this time.
