It will hurt for a few seconds and maybe a little bit for a few minutes later on in the day if they pull the stitches out. But usually, if your sores have healed like they should, they should be fine and it is like getting a shot.

∙ 11y agomost surgical procedures will require sutures ( stitches) These are removed after a short period of time when the wound has closed sufficiently. Some procedures, classed still as operations, may not require sutures. Your Surgeon will be able to discuss the sutures with you and the likely time they will need to remain in place after the operation.
