Stoeger made the .22 cal Luger from 1969 to 1986
Contact Stoeger Industries through their website. There are no public records. The basic .22 Luger was made from 1969-1986.
Decent quality.
No published sn data I am aware of.
No sn data published in the this country that I know of.
luger production ceased about 1942. the P38 took over as the German military pistol during WW2..................any luger made after WW2 were after market pistols.
i just bought on for $199 a good deal. There are two versions of the 22LR. One is the earlier all steel and the other a much lighter alluminum frame. The first version is a sought after pistol and worth more. Typically between $400 - $500. Actually you are turned around with this weapon. Stoeger first made this Luger with an Aluminum frame from 1969-1979. In 1980, they went to a steel frame and then only produced them until 1985. Value is assessed mainly by condition of these pistols, and not by production date. (I have a first year Stoeger with a serial number of 13xx). Also the more (original) clips you have along with an original holster or even the box, will significantly improve value.
There were no more than six Luger pistols made in .45. Two are known to exist today. They are very expensive collector items and have never been sold in shops.
Made in Turkey.
Mostly from Spain
by reference to 'luger' ammo, one believes it to be a 9mm cartridge, which is the cartrige for the German luger. however, there are many other pistol that were made to fire the 9mm luger cartridge. in addition, the luger was also made in the '30 cal luger' which is a smaller bullet in a necked down cartridge.
a K date luger was made in 1934 and a G date luger was made in 1935.....
