to measure and make items--for example how long does a chicken have to cook about 20minutes per LB...how to make recipes! Try to mix lemon juice and baking soda/powder! It's really cool then you'll see the "science" in cooking
by adding sodium carbonate or sodium bicarbonateAnswer by TSYou can use sodium carbonate (soda ash -- Washing Soda at Walmart) or you can use 20 Mule Team Borax Laundry Booster. It can be found at many grocery stores. Try using the same amount as you would with PH plus 1 lb. to 10,000 gallons, and wait 2 to 4 hrs. Then check your PH reading. If it's still low, add some more until you get it to 7.2 to 7.8 range. Caution - check your alkalinity before using borax, because borax raises PH only, without affecting your alkalinity much. If your alkalinity is also low you can use baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) to raise your alkalinity and PH. Baking Soda raises PH and Alkalinity at the same time. Baking Soda has the same ingredients as Alkalinity plus, but half the price. Take a look at this web site for more information on Borax: www.poolsolutions.com/gd/borax_20mule.html

2 cupsIt is actually about 2-1/2 cups. 8oz. volume (1/2 c) of baking soda weighs more than 8oz. weight.
it equals = 23
First you need to know that 1 tsp = 0.1667 oz So, if you take the number of ounces in the box of baking soda (found at the bottom of the box) and divide it by 0.1667 you'll get the number of teaspoons in that box! Therefore, in an 8 oz box of baking soda there are 48 tsp, and in a 1 lb box (which is 16 oz) there are 96 tsp, etc. I hope that helps!
Depends what you measure. 16 tablespoons of water is 1/2 pound
Approx. 2 tablespoons.
If 1 tablespoon = 0.5 ounces. Then 3 tablespoons = 1.5 ounces.
1 pound of water is approximataly 32 tbsp.
42fl tbsp = 1fl lb 31 dry tbsp = 1 dry lb
42fl tbsp = 1fl lb 31 dry tbsp = 1 dry lb
tablespoons are a measure of volume, lb (pounds) is a measure of weight, thus the two can not be equated directly you need to know - tablespoons of WHAT before you can work out how many will be needed to make a pound of that WHAT. i.e to convert volume into weight you need to know the dentistry of the material being measured.
You need about 4 lb (2 kg)kilograms to make a can of soda.
That is approximately 45 grams of butter which is 3 tablespoons.
