A tablespoon is 15 milliliters (at least it is in Sweden) so 3 grams is 1/5 of a tablespoon (if you re measuring a liquid which has a density around that of water) If you are measuring baking soda or another powder it is going to be quite different.

It really depends on what you're cooking with. You should really get a scale if you need precise measurements. But here's a little guide:

1 tablespoon of water = 14.79 grams

1 tablespoon of table salt = 18.25 grams

1 tablespoon of butter = 14.19 grams

1 tablespoon of oil (canola or soy) = 13.62 grams

1 tablespoon of sugar (granulated) = 12.5 grams

1 tablespoon of sugar (brown) = 13.8 grams (packed)
