What is a greyhound comb?
It appears that a "greyhound comb" is a type of dog grooming comb which is about 7-7.5in straight comb, and has teeth set at two distances. I would call one set of teeth 'fine' (close-set), and the teeth on the other half of the comb, I would call 'super fine' (very close-set).So, if you comb using one side, you could choose to either use the close-set or the very close-set teeth on the comb.The Above Statement is not correct.The Greyhound comb is not a 'type of comb' - Greyhound is in fact a trademark and many sizes and types of combs are made under the Greyhound umbrella. They are only made in the UK. There are many many inferior 'copies/fakes' on the market. One easy way to be sure that you are buying a real comb is to purchase it from a 'Greyhound Distributor' that carries other Greyhound Grooming Tools, such as Greyhound Brushes and Greyhound Stripping Knives. They will also have the Greyhound Logo on them now. Its a Greyhound head set into the G. Any website carrying them will also have the Greyhound Banner.You will also see that ALL Greyhound combs are now finished with a 'Colored Anti-static Coating' unique to Greyhound.When you get a real comb in your hand, trust me, you will know ! Hooray for Greyhound I don't know what I would do without mine!! Please don't stop making them Greyhound !
