Why are fixed resisters used in many circuts?

Hi, where there is no need of changing the value of resistor then why do you place variable resistor instead a fixed resistor. After all the selection of resistor depends on the cause of use in application. by the way wide range of resistor values are avilable in the market. if the application requires tuning operation then variable resistor is need to be mounted. nothing is mandatory unless the application requires. How do you make power supply variable?

A variable power supply is one whose output voltage (or current) can be adjusted and therefore set to a desired figure. They are used in development and design odf circuits, eliminating the need for possibly many power supplies of different output voltages. Once a circuit is connected to it, the output would not normally be changed.

What is role of rheostat?

A rheostat is a resistor with variable resistance. There are many type of rheostat, involved of a rotary-type rheostat and a sliding rheostst.I dunn know much about the rotary-type rheostat but I can tell u how does a sliding rheostat work. A sliding rheostst consists of a coil resistance wire wound on a tube and a sliding contact. The sliding contact be moved on the metal bar.Consider of the length of the resistance wire which let electric current through increases, the reistance would be higher and decrease the elctric current. Thus by moving the sliding contact,we can adjust the size of electric current. It's ofter used as a dimmer or to adjustl the voluime of the radio. If you are interested in the rotary-type rheostat, try to find it by yourself!

Does it matter if your dependent variable is normally distributed?

No, it does not. In fact, for many statistical analyses, it is a definite advantage.

How to present a variable that is not normally distributed?

There are many variables that are not normally distributed. You can describe them using a probability distribution function or its cumulative version; you can present them graphically.

What is the value of resistor do you use in 2.5volts bulb with use 4 batteries with 1.5volts?

If your batteries were in series the total voltage would be 6 volts, and it the bulbs were in series you would need a resistor to keep them from burning out. In order to know how many ohms the resistor would need to be you would have to know the wattage of the bulbs, or the resistance of the bulbs. If you don't know the best thing to do is use a variable resistor. Then you can adjust it or the brightness that you want.

The AMHS has 32 terminals.

What are the colors of a resistor and why are they there?

There are many colours for resistor rings but the reason that we have them is to help the resistor reduce the electrical current that is passing through.
